Swain is a tough matchup as a very athletic 6-8 power forward who averaged 11.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.6 assists and 1.6 steals per game this season. With coach Sean Miller expected to take the Texas job, Swain will look elsewhere to find his next home.

The 6-foot-8 sophomore has been solid as of late, scoring double-digit points in five of his last six games. Impact Swain slid to the bench for Tuesday's game versus St. John's, with Zach Freemantle getting the nod with the starting unit, but it appears Xavier will revert back to the previous starting unit, with Swain checking in the four and Jerome Hunter serving as the five.

Impact Swain recently underwent a successful appendectomy, a surgical removal of an appendix, which will cause him to sit out Xavier's game Wednesday at Butler and possibly more matchups. Ideally for the Musketeers, they can have Swain available before their 2023-24 season ends Saturday against Marquette, though his availability is far from certain.
