Paige Bueckers - Drafted by Dallas with No. 1 pick Bueckers was selected by the Wings with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft on Monday. Impact Bueckers lived up to her expectations as a top recruit during her freshman year in 2020-21 at UConn, but she missed a sizable portion of her sophomore season due to injury and was out for the entire 2022-23 campaign due to a torn ACL. However, she was dominant over her final two seasons with the Huskies, leading the team to the Final Four last year before taking home the national title in this year's NCAA Tournament. In total, she averaged 19.8 points, 4.7 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 2.1 steals in 32.0 minutes per game during her time in college. She'll join one of the league's top scorers in Arike Ogunbowale in the Wings' backcourt, but Bueckers has a skill set to have immediate success in the WNBA, especially after Dallas lost Satou Sabally and Natasha Howard during the offseason. After ending her collegiate career on a high note, the 23-year-old Bueckers has a high fantasy ceiling to begin her time at the professional level.
